I have been creating art in the Durham, NC area for over twelve years.  I work in both representational and more symbolic painting styles primarily in acrylic and oil paints, but also including a range of media: carved block prints, collage, found objects, wood, textiles and needlework.  Through my artwork I explore symbols and folklore, pattern and movement, sense of place, and I connect with spiritual and natural themes.  I enjoy capturing the characteristic architecture of Durham and historic Hillsborough as well as painting "old" subjects like run-down trucks and mill gears.

My work can be seen at the Hillsborough Gallery of Arts in Hillsborough, NC, and at SKY Art Gallery  in Aberdeen, NC, which has been voted the Best Gallery in Moore County for the past two years.   In addition to my work represented at galleries and in art shows, I create commissioned pieces for both residential and corporate installations.
