Local Flavor Paintings
My
"Local Flavor" paintings often are about the
people, places, and things in my community. Mostly these are
representative paintings about my immediate experiences in
central North Carolina and southern Virginia. In particular,
I have discovered that I like to capture the essence of local
architecture and natural areas. While I like to paint
picturesque scenes, I also am fascinated by old, run-down, and
commonplace items that still have their own beauty and character.
